Medicine Women sits in the middle of the piece, surrounded by real leaves that have been fired within the glass. This represents that she carries the knowledge of healing with plants and herbs. She is made of copper which is a strong conductor of Energy, surrounded by 9 elements made of copper and aluminum. Nine is the number of initiation and completion. We use the Black/White glass to represent Yin/Yang, male/female, dark /light; the dualism that is present, and indeed is the essence of all that exists. Thus, with her arms joyously upraised, she has access to al l that exists to bring forth strong energetic healing especially with plants and herbs. Her powers are mysterious yet clear, like a circle with no beginning and no end.
